Anyone know of a shop/store that supplies LED SMD strips?

Assuming you are looking for white, I have plenty. How many segments of 3 SMD LEDs are you looking for?

not sure how many segments, but i need (2) strips, roughly 15-16" each

16... one SMD LED per inch

The SMD LED strips come surface mount soldered onto a flex PCB. The flex PCB is designed to be cut into segments containing 3 LEDs each. Each 3 SMD LED segment is just under 2 inches long. I can supply two strips just under 16 inches long, that would contain 24 SMD LEDs.

If you want some and are interested, I'm in NYC if you wish to hazard a trip down to see them in person. We can also do something over PayPal.

Are you going to make DRLs out of these? Would be a fun project.

This is an enthusiast helping an enthusiast deal. I'm a software and high-tech entrepreneur and I don't run any auto parts store at the moment. However, my parents have a few brick and mortar establishments (gift shops, etc.) in Queens, we could run the transaction through there. I can leave the stuff there for you to check out, etc.
