Anyone want to "guestimate" what a trip to Canada would cost in gas??

I had planned to drive from NYC to Canada, and back. I have done this trip a few years back, and don't think at that time I ever thought about the "gas factor".

Wondering if last minute airfare would be cheaper than the gas.

'bout 1000 miles r/t, and in "city" driving with the A/C, the ..

...computer says 17 mpg. I'm hoping it would at least do 20~22 mpg on the highway.

One way trip: 489 Miles to Toronto, CN;
$72.85 - Data used: 25MPG Highway & 18MPG Local roads, $3.25 per Gallon
