Last week my wife's CEL on her B6 1.8T came on (solid, not flashing). Then on Fri (just as the storm was starting up) the car died in the middle of an intersection, the CEL turned off, the battery light and the EPC light turned on ... with our 5-week old son in the back! She got the care startd again and was able to drive home in limp mode. Needless to say, she was upset and is now scared to drive the car anywhere with our son until it is fixed (appt on Thursday).

I started the car yesterday and no lights at all came one (I didn't drive anywhere though).

So, can someone local read the codes for me? I know Autozone does this but, a) I don't really trust those guys, b) they won't be able to tell me what the code means, and c) I'm not sure if they'll even get a code since the CEL and EPC lights aren't on anymore.
