Default credit reporting agency question

quick question -- I did the free credit check thingy w/ Transunion a few weeks ago and discovered several errors. I disputed them via their website and to my surprise, they corrected everything after a 30 day investigation.

Here's the question -- will the other 2 credit agencies automatically correct the same errors, or do I need to contact them as well?

I'd contact them. They are all notoriously bad.

Default The other agencies may not even have the errors, but to be safe, pull credit from them

examine their output and if necessary, dispute them with each agency. You don't want to take a chance with your credit and hope that the changes that one agency made will propagate through to the other two agencies.

Default Transunion botched my credit report a few years back. They dumped some deadbeat's records into...

...my history. It almost cost me a home equity loan that I needed immediately to close on a condo. Worse yet, the loan agent that I was dealing with saw only the Transunion report, immediately decided that I was a liar and a deadbeat, and basically refused to help. The situation escalated to the point where I was shouting at him in his little cube farm and freaking out all his co-workers.

Eventually we got things straight without blowing the condo deal.

Default The others might or might not pick up on the TransUnion disputes...

I would contact the others to be sure. Better safe then sorry.

Collections is my business and I've seen the others, Equifax and Experian, pick up on a TransUnion dispute and I've seen them not.
