I'm in cleveland at the moment but my car got towed out of a parking garage, they were right to tow it, as I was parked a few days to long (just left my job in NJ, and should have moved it). But anyways, so for all you law types...if I find damage on my car + tranny - it being a quattro... what do/should i do about it, do i have any rights?

I figure someone like Kip and/or others might know.

It was my fault keeping the car there, but I assume they can't just bang/scratch the car up right??

It's easy to know that you can sue somebody, but harder to actually do it. They know it.

they shouldnt do that and most times don't... as far as towing damage to tranny, quattro, etc... you're out of luck there, because of the fact that you were illegally parked, you were therefore breaking the law, and they had the right to move your vehicle. you're SOL for that pretty much... just hope they didn't drag it halfway across NJ like the Manhattan NYPD towing crew will.... they love to drag AWD cars..
