Default Foreign Car Werks and Egenton's Garage in Central NJ (X-Post)

Has anyone been to Foreign Car Werks (247 W. Union Ave., Bound Brook, NJ 08805) or Egenton's Garage (307 E. 5th St., Plainfield, NJ 07060) and care to share your experience/impressions about them?

I may be mistaken, but it seems these 2 shops may be owned by the same family. I say this because I read Bill Egenton Jr. is the owner of Foreign Car Werks, Egenton's Garage bears the same name, and the 2 shops are not that far apart from one another. Comments?

Also, any other shop recommendations in or near the Central NJ or NYC area would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I've heard that FCW's pretty good. I plan on going there to replace my wheel bearings.

Default Just basic maintenance stuff ...

oil change, spark plugs, brake fluid, etc. to begin with. I figure if all goes well, then maybe brakes, timing belt, and other "more involved" items.

Default Egenton's

My dad's friend is part owner of the shop. It's an Irish dude and a Polish dude. Bought my car there... Good guys. They do a good job and know they're stuff. You can get parts real cheap if you ask nicely. They have good connections. Irish dude is eddie.
