Default And the best part is that the Saw Mill is a blast to drive

Some misguided souls in this thread think that the Merritt is still a good road. Worse yet, they think it goes to Danbury.

I generally stay off the Merritt these days because it is not in any better shape than I95. And sometimes the traffic is even worse. If you're going to Danbury the Merritt definitely won't help you.

But take heart, the Saw Mill is a better road than the Merritt anyway. Occassional traffic lights. But that just gives you the opportunity to practice your launch technique.

Cheers,
P.

Default Yea, I don't understand how the Merrit is peope's favorite roads.

It's a freaking 4 lane highway. Sure, it's somewhat scenic, but its rank for driving skills is probably about a 0. And the only challenging thing about it is avoiding all the traffic and the thousand other cars driving on it.

My favorite types of roads are the two lane roads that have lots of curves and pass through some remote rural area.

Default well then, there is now way you can take some of the turns on the merrit at 100+

so unless you like driving through kansas type roads, the merrrit can be fun to drive.
