Default I hate automated car washes. Was desperate to get the salt/sand off my car today and....

they said my car was too low for their assembly pusher thingy-ma-bob. Went to another car wash (hand-wash) and the undercarriage was fine. I feel like I've sinned taking my car to the car wash but it was necessary. I have to move to a warmer climate.
That is all.

Default A few winters back, I took mine to a hand car wash that had.....

...the assembly pusher thingy-ma-bob to pull the car through as the guys inside washed the car.

This was before I lowered the car, but it was when I was using 18" wheels with A/S tires. The assembly pusher thingy-ma-bob chewed up the edges of my rims.

Default Why is a hand car-wash a bad thing?? During the winter...I go to hand-washed often...

I bring my own drying towels (mine are much softer). So far...all is well.

Clarification: The problematic wash I went to, initially, was w/ the machines.

No worries. We're on the same page...the small stuff can be worked out.
