I hate this getting dark early time of year!
Decided to put the winter's on today. Simple enough, right? Started around 12:30 PM and finished around 6:30 PM.
One thing lead to another.
Gather togeather tools, haul winter wheels out, wash and wax winter wheels, install wheels, wash floor mats, wash and wax summer wheels, wash car, wipe down car, no time to wax, so spritz car with quick detailer, clean windows, put child seats back in (always a pita), vacuum car & clean up tools and car washing stuff and put summer's away.
Fark, my lower back hurts!
Tomorrow: wax my car, then wash and detail wifey's car.
I can't wait until Monday when I can go to work and rest.
here's a couple of pics:

I've got a pair laying around somewhere ;-) ....................
Just bought the floor jack this past spring. Until then, I always used the jack in the trunk.
Had a good run of luck.

One more time...---> ! jackstands !
It's a very simple thing to do...and it could save you a LOT of grief one day. A jack is a simple mechanical device, subject to failure. That jackstand might save your hand, leg, neck, or any other part of your body that happens to be between the car and the ground. If you're too lazy to get the jackstands, tell your wife what could happen to you if the jack should suddenly fail. She'll beat you senseless...or crack an evil smile and ask you if the life insurance is paid up. Either one should motivate you to get the stands next time. Don't mess around with something like this...it isn't worth it.

BTW, I've had 2 jacks fail on me in the last 15 years.
neither failed while the car was in the air...rather, both failed as I was trying to lift the car. Still, it can and will happen, and the more use the jack gets, the greater the likelihood that it will eventually fail.

Understood.............
For the record though, I do not place any body parts under the car when changing tires and do not work under the car in the driveway, that's what mechanics and lifts are for.
However, I see your point, but being the stubborn **** that I am, I treat the tire/wheel changeover the same as changing a flat tire. i guess it wouldn't hurt to use the free jack stands that came with the floor jack.
