My car was towed to Bell Audi on Monday. I tried to get them to tell me which body shop they were going to send my car to and for some reason they would not tell me. They would just say that it was one of three body shops. Since they (Bell Audi) had such a nice new facility it gave me the impression that they would be using a good body shop and I would have nothing to worry about. I got a call from my insurance adjuster today telling me that my car had been towed to a bodyshop. Now the town that this body shop is located in is pretty ghetto. So I got worried and decided to check this shop out. When I got there I was just baffled how bad the shop looked. Its in the middle of a industrial looking area and it looks like it hasn't been doing any work for years. In fact it looks like they don't even operate. It looks like a body shop out of a horror movie or something. I can't believe dealerships go this far to make money. Its widely known that they try to make money through every way possible when dealing with sales of used/new cars, but for christ sake, fixing up cars? Are you fuking kidding me?
I have some questions for the NJ/NYC people:
1. What can I do? The body shop already has some parts that Audi ordered but I don't want them to work on my car. Can I still get it towed to another body shop?
2. What are some other Audi dealerships that wouldn't outsource to this type of hole in the wall body shop?

bodyshop.
I forgot exactly what it was, but I remember he wasn't happy with the work.
I used Gino's Autobody in Princeton and so have a couple others from this site.
