let them do the car, and then when you get it back go over it with a fine tooth comb. If you really want to get picky, go to any higher-end detailing place and ask to borrow their paint thickness meter.
if the car isn't 100% to your liking, you have nothing but ammo (and a picture of the sh!thole they brought it to) to get them to make it right.
would be nice if more people in the automotive industry would just DO things right from the get-go.
