Default Looking for safe parking spot in Brooklyn

I'm heading down to visit friends in Brooklyn tomorrow for New Year's, and I'm wary of parking my new Audi on the street. The house is on 9th St in Red Hook, on the west side of the Gowanus Canal.

Does anybody know of a garage or enclosed lot, or even just a safe/upscale neighborhood near there where it would be OK to leave the car overnight? Right now I'm thinking about leaving the car in a garage in downtown Brooklyn and cabbing it to the house.

Thanks for any advice!

Default Disregard my previous post. I forgot to read your entire thread. Sorry about that!

Don't know that area too well. Park Slope & Brooklyn Heights are good neighborhoods in Brooklyn that you may be able to park overnight.

I wouldn't worry too much about getting your car stolen. Scratched or scrapped by poor parallel parkers is another story!

It sounds that you will be parking around the Metrotech area. Very busy business area, but you will find parking in private indoor lots. A lot of money though.

Why don't you park in Queens, and take the subway?

I park my car outside fairly often. Hell park in front of my house.

Peace.
