PSA ... don't leave the valet key in your glove box.
As some of you meay have already read ... I had
an interesting experience on Sunday ... looked out my window to see a Yellow B6 S4 pull up next to mine and a couple of homeys get out and start trying to jack my car. Called da poleese, they turned up and told me that a gang of thieves had been going around Morristown and had attempted to steal 15 cars in one day!
I was talking to the cop, and asked him how they managed to steal the S4 ... it's the first time I've heard of a B6 or newer S4 being half inched. He told me that they are breaking into cars, and going through the glove box looking for the valet key. Apparently, an awful lot of people either just don't know it is there, or are just too dumb to remove it!
So now my S4 had a screwdriver head impression on the drivers side door... thieves were last seen in Union township. They left their scanner code book beside my car which the cops were going to scan for prints, doubt it will do any good, though!
So ... if you have a valet key ... don't leave it in the ****ing car!

This is Morristown, NJ?? ****, I leave my car everywhere around there! Luckily...
the valet key stays in my wallet.
FYI, the reason they are looking for it there is because Infiniti puts it in the owner's manual on the G35. That's why some theft victims are actually suing Infiniti because their dealers never told them it was there. Stupid ****ing thieves probably think that if it's in the glove box in one car, well sheeeeeet, it must be there in all cars.
Just goes to prove the point that you can't have anything nice these days without worrying about some ****nut srewing with it.

I have to go to Morristown this week... "if my 3rd s4 will be stolen, i might hit a record..."
thought that at least B6 is more secure... hmm...
i doubt any insurance co. would want to deal with me...
good luck with you car man. that incident would really **** me off, esp. when you need to fix your door and it probably going to be out of your pocket...
