Remember the idiot in the Corvette pulling out into traffic I posted last week? Same spot...

The car was a GM smart buy, my friend was way under mileage on it, so loaned it to me for a while on the condition I don't wear out the very expensive run-flat tires that were pretty worn near the end..

porting and polishing the heads and stuff/trans.( I later rebuilt auto turbo 350 trans).
It was a fun car. The first time started it up I fixed hoses and what not and let it idle. Across from my parents house was a full service car wash. (I later managed)
It was a nice spring day. T-tops out I back it out of the driveway. *Realize my fastest car before this was prob my scirocco with 100hp.*
I put it in first and I figure I'll light them up a little for the people across the street. Not realizing flooring a 400+hp rear wheel drive camaro is not the same as doing it in the VW.
Tires spin as I sit there. I shift into second and now the tires still spinning and I am slowly drifting towards the dirt/grass on the side of the road. I let up on the gas it catches and goes.
It scared me Sooo bad it bucked the whole way back to my house b/c my legs were shaking so bad I **** you not.
Best kill in that was same kind of Mustang w/ nitrous. Scary though when I looked down and my Speedo was pinned at 165, RPM's still climbing. I was young and dumb back then. (it was an open flat hwy no cars)
It was a 1985 Camaro Maroon T-tops 5-speed. I yanked out the 305 anchor motor.
Sent the trans to be built by some guy the worked with nascars (I was living in NC)
Sick clutch.
The engine was a 350 4 bolt, bored to a 355.
-Balanced aftermarket light weight crank
-Higher compression pistons
-light weight rods
-trickflow ported and polished heads w/ one piece titanium valves.
-high lift solid roller cam w/ roller rockers (adjusted often)
-Holly 700 double pumper w/ mechanical secondarys
-Big manifold I can't remember off hand the name ported to match heads.
I think my audi might be faster not 100% wish i still had it.
