This dealership really tries to gouge its customers w/ BS extras. I guess they're real hard up to pay for their new fancy service facility... LOL
Audi of Fairfield asks, did you know that filling your tires with nitrogen rather than air can increase safety for your Audi S4 Avant? The reason is simple. Nitrogen is a bigger molecule than air. So, it takes longer to leak from your tires, keeping them inflated at the correct pressure longer. Since properly-inflated tires wear out slower, handle better, keep their tread longer, and are less likely to fail, nitrogen filled tires can increase tire safety, and save money by extending tire life too! If you think about it, race car drivers use this in their vehicles and race at speeds over 200 miles per hour, imagine how safe it would be for us on our highways!
We all know that tires that are not properly inflated have a higher rolling resistance, and make a car's engine work harder, burning more fuel and polluting more. A nitrogen fill can help you save gas. There's yet another benefit provided by nitrogen filled tires: Less oxygen in the tire means less oxidation of the rubber compounds in your tires, reducing internal oxygen degradation.
Audi of Fairfield now offers nitrogen for our customer cars. Each nitrogen fill is good for one year. We will offer you a savings of $49.95 for all 5 tires! If you need tire repairs during the year, we'll refill it with nitrogen for free! You may ask, what happens if you're traveling, need more pressure, and nitrogen is not available? Nothing! Using regular air if necessary will not hurt your nitrogen-filled tires! And, when the seasons change, we'll even fill your winter tires when they're mounted and balanced at Audi of Fairfield at no additional charge!*

first it completely deflates the tires and creates vaccuum then inflates with NO2....so there's no regular air in them at all.
It has a lot of benefits...google is your friend.
