He's ok thankfully, but the car is not looking so good (aka its totaled. Mugello Blue with black interior...mmmm yummy). I'm just kind of thinking out loud, but would there be any way to swap out the RS4 seats with my seats (both are black leather), or would that cause trouble with the insurance company? TIA for opinions, again, I'm just thinking out loud.

Default would they fit your car? I doubt you will have any problem with insurance. my friends and i

do it all the time at his shop as long as you do all the swapping before the insurance guy gets there.

Default I'm pretty sure they would as B6 and B7 share a lot of the same hardware

Can you expand on your example? I just don't want to get anyone in trouble or cause any problems. I'm just wondering if the insurance adjuster would notice that RS4 Recaros are now replaced with OEM A4 seats

Default When insurance comes to take the car, they only want it stock... unless the adjuster is VERY keen

I doubt he would notice the difference between A4 and Rs4 seats... the question is, will they fit? Yo no se.

As for an example, my brother totaled his Mazda MP3 and I took his stock Kenwood stereo and replaced it with my Sony Xplode. Also took his powered sub. If insurance asked about it, I would've swapped it back, but they never said anything.

Default well I know they have swapped seats before so if the adjuster realizes that these were not stock

seats....you can always just say ur stock ones had some rips and you replaced them with these because it's cheaper.
there are always ways to get around it....=P
