Default Nothing wrong with Beam

Ever try Beam Rye?

But there are so many boutique brands out these days, it's hard to keep up. I tend to get **** or Makers in bars. Bought my buddy a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 20yo for his wedding gift.

haven't had the rye - any good? i mostly drink bourbon and coke, also a big fan of mint juleps in summer - good tasting and good for you! once in a while i get beam green label when it's on sale, a little smoother than white label. if my friend and i didn't go thru a gallon a weekend, i'd probably buy some of the boutiques - i actually had the van winkle in new orleans a couple years ago - mainly cause my last name is winkel, but good stuff. you're right though, bourbon these days is like microbrew beer, everyone's making it.

Default Irish - so 'root' vegetables

Carrots and Parsnips mashed together and Rutabegas mashed on their own. Adds color to the dish and goes great with the stuffing, spuds and gravy.
