Default Suggestions for good Italian in NYC/surrounding boroughs?

A place I could get into this Saturday without much of a hassle would be nice.

Preferably a place without valet because I can't bear it with them touching my car. Especially with what happened to the guy with the A8 on here with the pole driven through the side. I would rather pay 25 dollars for parking.

Good tiramisu is a plus.

That's a very big net considering the amount of Italian food places in the NYC metro area

Default If you're in Throggs Neck area of the Bronx....

there's this neighborhood restaurant called Tosca Cafe. It's a full-service restaurant and the food there is awesome! It was originally a brick-oven pizza place but quickly expanded to a FS restaurant. The food is great and the cheap compared to NYC prices. They do have valet parking but there's plenty of street parking in the area if you don't want those guys touching your ride. Don't worry that it's the Bronx...this is one of the better neighborhoods to park your car in.

Tosca site

Default The location isn't much of an issue for me. It's finding a decent place at the last minute.

I don't want to end up at a restaurant that rushes people in and out.

I am also not knowledgeable of the Italian restaurants around the way.

Default that would be a long trek for you to get to Throggs Neck...

Brooklyn is home of the Italianos...I'm sure you could find a decent place to eat in your backyard! Try using brooklyn.citysearch.com if all else fails.

http://brooklyn.citysearch.com</a

Default I like a great Cappucino & Tiramisu to finish an Italian meal...you gotta try..

...Baby Luna on Cross Bay Blvd in Howard Beach.

Not the most elegant, but the food is excellent, the Tiramisu made fresh daily, & a self park lot.

Default I've eaten at & enjoyed il fornetto but would like to try a new place. I wouldn't mind

driving to the Bronx. Tosca looks like a nice place that I might enjoy. I haven't seen anything else online. And I don't want to go to Bay Ridge because parking is a bitch there.
