Default Thanks to the person who backed into my car...w no note.

Pushed my grill and latch in, bent my hood, and scuffed my bumper...and now i can't open my hood. Any ideas on how to pry this open? I tried w/ a screwdriver but no luck.

Also do you think I need a new hood? You can't tell by the pic, but it pushed the lower section of the hood in about an inch or so...and the grill bent w/ it.

FAWK! I'm more pissed off that i may need a new $200 RS4 grill now.

Default that sucks! for opening the hood...

similar thing happened when I rear ended someone in my 01.5 sedan... to get the hood open, see if you can get someone to pull the in cabin latch while you push down and or pull the bottom of the hood away from the latch. then pull/force upwards to get the secondary latch..

it took a bit of jimmying to get my hood open, you need to be a little forceful with it, but you'll get it...

sorry to see that!

Default same $#it just cost me $500 deductible out of $4800

wife's S4 was backed into by a Grand Cherokee in a Starbucks parking lot. Driver has probably done it so many times before they didin't notice or thought they just "oopsed" and drove off. Broken/pushed in grill and dented hood concealed damage to radiator, a/c lines, etc. When you do get the hood open, there's a lot of plastic shrouding in there that also gets damaged. Grrrrrr.

At a minimum, I hope they scalded their nuts (or whatever else they had).
