I'm coming up for my annual trip from Philly to NYC for a game. Couple years ago, I asked this board and got great responses. About 5 of them. We had a beer at each spot, turned out to be great fun.

We'll reach Penn Station at 130 or 2pm, so plenty of time to see a handful of bars, hopefully check out the Reebok NHL store. What else??? We want to see/do anything fun within walking distance.

If you have any recommendations, our group will greatly appreciate them.

Local which is on 33rd and 8th ave

down the ave. McGarry's, Irish bar on 9th ave between 33rd and 34th. 5min walk.

Mustang Sallys its on 7th ave nearby.

Lastly, Tir Na Nog. 8th ave and 33rd, across from Local.

The best Italian food/pizza can be found at Manganaros/Heroboy.... in the high 30's on 9th ave.

Also, Fat Sals! Midtown West Location on the website.
