Default I went cheap and low tech
I bought a clear plastic bin at Target. Maybe 6'' high, 28'' long and 20'' wide. I attached it to the trunk floor right up against the back seat using velcro tape.

I just use it for things like jumper cables, snow brush, tire pressure guage, old flannel jacket, air compressor etc.

It gets the job done for me.

I used to be able to leverage the cargo net in the A4 for all the whacky misc items, but no such luck with this trunk.

Default then you wanna look into monster mats...velcresque and plastic block organizers that stick to them..
the Vdubs got them, and im sure the new audis do too
