Default tough question -- they are all different

on the avenues, they are all metered, on the side streets, you just have to look at the signs -- they are all different b/c of street cleaning rules.

Also, they have removed many of the meters and installed the Munimeters instead. Munimeters are the ones where you display the receipt on your dash, so just because you don't see a meter for that spot, it doesn't mean you don't have to pay.

Default i do remember the alternate side parking streets....so if i am lucky i can find a spot

but what about the meters. all i want to know is, do they start allowing you to park at 6 or 7?at least the majority of them. I only need to be there from 7 to around 8:30-9. and if the meters start at 6....then i can be in the city earlier.

Default IIRC meters start at 8:00, but I'll have to double check

I'll look tonight on my way home but I live a little farther north -- on 79th Street.

One other thought -- if you are only going to be an hour or two, there is a park and lock at the Planetaruim. There is also inexpensive lots over by the Trump buildings on Riverside/West End.

Default 8pm?!?!? I might have to try my luck in finding a side street spot where they only have

street cleaning regulations. i know that'll be almost impossible but i did find one the last time i was around there.
i never valet my car and the fact that i am breaking in a new clutch too....;-P

Default NO, i think they start at 8am and run until 7pm,

But Park and Lock at the Planetarium -- no valet, you park it and take your keys with you.

Default gotcha....so i should be fine. i was thinking they would be more like

around my office in midtown where you can't park at all until after a certain time. I should be fine with any meters then. if not, where is the planetarium lot??
