what kind of place is Port Chester, NY? TIA
what I want to know, is it a nice area.....or not? I know Rye borders it, and Rye is a nice area. Just wondering what Port Chester is like....what would be a comparable NJ town to Port Chester. Any help/input would be appreciated...thanks

I know PC very well...
if you are looking to move to Port Chester there are some nice neighborhoods. South Regent, Midland Avenue (near Home Depot) are NOT those areas! Streets that run along King Street are nice as well as by Port Chester High School. "Down Town" Port Chester, Main Street (I say that in quotes because PC is I think 2 square miles) is a big shopping center with a movie theatre. Port Chester is however known for great restaurants. Rye is literally down the street, as well as Rye Brook. Id sayRye Brook is a better place to settle in, but if you find the right place in Port Chester it can be cheap and nice. The Life Saver builing in Port Chester is a DEFINETE HIT!

a friend of mine has a 2 bd rm in there
I haven't seen his neighbors place but apparently he bought two places next door to one another and opened it all up... that must be cool...
