Lived there for 24yrs... only reason I can think of is lack of high tech/paying jobs
45min to 1hr from Mt. Baker... now thats a perk 
I'm about 45min from Alpintal now but thats not even close in my book.

Yeah, only reason I left is the commute from Bellingham to Downtown Seattle...
Got really old after 6 months, that and I put I dunno how many thousands of miles on my car (well i do know but i dont want to think about it)
