Sold Audi's and sold a few 2003 Audi A8's...so my answer is Ding...
Audi A8. I went to Las Vegas for the interduction of the 2003 A8 and it went against the BMW 7 Series 740 or 745(ugly rear-end) and cant remember if it was a S600 but maybe the S500 and the Audi A8 was best for all around driving if you live in a nasty area for weather. I liked the Audi MMI better the BMW's version. I thought the Audi was more thought out for a daily driver in any condition. If you live where the weather is perfect and BMW's and Mercedes are a dime a dozen like honda's dont pick a Audi and blend in the crowd. Plus the Audi just felt more stable and that I can remember when the Audi A8 came out in 2003 Mag. tests of the Audi,BMW and Merc. and the Audi came out ahead everytime.
