John's a pretty decent guy. Remember, it's a TV show and maybe they are supposed...
act a certain way for the camera. And there's no way he can be a bad guy when he helped me buy my first A4!!

I-5 was NOT an option...
I live in Seattle, you think I would be that stupid to not take I-5??? We could not use I-5 and HAD to take a ferry that day. So we actually took the Fauntleroy-Southworth ferry as did many of the other teams once they figured out what we were doing. Did they show that ferry on the show? No. Its TV.....

Tell me how to go down through Tacoma NOT using I-5...
to get to Portland. Since I've done the STP (Seattle to Portland) bike ride, I know the roads well. If all you know-it-alls take the time to watch the out takes on www.spiketv.com you will see that the LAMBO and the TRUCK (which was generously loaned to us!!!) were already there when ALL OTHER TEAMS ARRIVED.
