I'm thinking about taking my car in there tomorrow. AFAIK they are the only detail shop in B'ham.
I called them this morning (they called my allroad and SUV, not a good sign), they charge about $170 for a wash/buff/wax. Is that the goin rate??? spendier than I was expecting.
Normally I detail my car my self, but I recently cut off the last inch of my finger (index, right hand, doh!) and detailing one handed doesn't sound like fun.

About a block north of Iowa on the east side of the street. DO NOT GO THERE. I was unbelieveably unhappy with the job they did. Powerwashed most of the clearcoat off of my rear bumber surround. I know my car's paint is old, but seriously... Pure amateur hour. Didn't even apologize, let alone stop powerwashing when they noticed it was happening. Basically blamed me for still having the original Pearl paint on my 13 y/o car (at the time).
But no idea about the shop you're asking about.

400 W Hemmi Rd in bellingham, never heard of them but should be fine if they are a dedicated detail shop.
Or you could try the local Audi-Porsche dealer they do detail customer's cars. I know you do not like to take your car there but why not. I have seen their work first hand since I have worked for them. So there is nothing to worry about since no one has named a shop in the area.

i might have had some unchoice words after someone there accused me of making up issues with my car because they could not replicate the issue in a 1 mile test drive... but besides that they have treated me pretty good.
I might give them a call... do you happen to know what they charge or what services they offer?
I looked at Wayne's after you posted, but they are in Ferndale and it looks like they specilize in ""Ground-Up Restoration, Minor To Major Collision Repair, Windshield & Rock Chip Repair, Spray-In Bedliners" dunno if i want to ask them just for a wash/wax...?
