Default Anyone have an Audi 2.0T with K04 kit or understand the setup - looking for tech detail not opinions

Seems that there are a couple out there -

APR

STASIS

KMD with Revo Tune

AWE/GIAC

Really interested in opinion on different kits. Some kits seem to be double the price of the lower end versions.

Power output seems pretty amazing for not needing any major internal engine modifications.

Thoughts -- ???

I want to get back into an audi and this seems like a great upgrade if I pickup a decently priced 2005.5 or newer A4.

Default Go with APR since you can get local support and install from Achtuning

All the kits out there are decent now... the biggest thing is how is local product support?

Call Achtuning and see what they say... they have done several stage 3 installs already and know the product well.

Default Whichever you most trusted local shop provides would be best

The main difference is that STaSIS offers a one year 15,000 mile warranty. But they offer the lowest hp and tq gains. 300hp at the crank. GIAC does the tuning for STaSIS, AWE and VF. Both APR and AWE have fueling kits for the HPFP. Some of the other kits you mention do not offer a tune, so you most likely will have to go to REVO with those kits.

I just purchased the AWE package with the KO4, S3 IC, S3 injectors, and the HPFP kit. It will be installed the first week of January by my trusted local shop, Matrix here in Portland. There is a lot of discussion over on the Vortex 2.0T engine forum. Beware of all the APR fanboys. I have great respect for their products, but their forum marketing presence is obnoxious.

The main price differences is in what other items come with the kit other than the K04. The STaSIS has injectors and dv relocation, but no IC or fueling upgrade. I found that if you compare apples to apples meaning the K04, IC, HPFP, and injectors they are all very close in cost. I lucked out with the AWE holiday sale. About 2k less than before the sale. I also found the S3 intercooler cheaper someplace else other than from AWE.

Mk5 Jetta client has been really happy with his STaSIS setup. We're anxious to see how AWEs compares

Default Bob(above) is loving his AWE K04 kit. It rips!

He has their HPFP unit, S3 FMIC, etc. It's a VERY fast car. 1st-2nd gear is pretty much useless in the dry now. ;-)
