Default B5 S4 Piggie Pipes Install?

Did some searching on the forum, seems like a time consuming install, evolution was trying to charge me around $700 for install on downpipes and full catback...I decided to go with piggie pipes, would you guys recommend taking it somewhere to be put in, or is it doable with out a lift? any special tools? I would also consider kicking someone beer/weed/money to help me do it, let me know!

Default I'd volunteer to help if a group GTG/install is planned.

Never done it before, but I don't have DPs, and likely will get them someday.

I'm looking at Piggie's or other "aftermarket" DPs as well and would be interested when I get back.

Default Find a lift! I just has my ASP DP's put in last week, my shop took over 8hrs

to finish up the install!

Passenger side was a little over an 2hrs, then came the drivers side, they could not get the top bolt off the turbo! It took them several hours to get it all back in one piece.

I was there watching threw out the day, and was SO happy that I paid to get it done! It will NOT be fun doing it with jack stands in the drive way.

I paid $550 for the install.

Default its about a 4 hour job start to finish.

I've done it faster but all depends on how fussy the car is. A competent shop should not take longer then that. A lift sure is nice but also not required. Some of the DP bolts can be tricky to get to, the trick is to get some short 17mm wrench and removing the driveshafts gives much better access to the bolts. With the ASP DP's you have to remove all the heat shielding to pull them out. For less then 3" you don't need too.
