Default Bent rim.... recommendations on where to get fixed?

I have a slight bend in one of my wheels causing a slow leak where the lip and center (2 piece wheels) meet.

Any recommendations on where to get it fixed CHEAP (damn, this had to happen around Christmas when i'm broke!).

Custom Wheels Repair, Fosters, etc?

Approximate cost? I've never had a wheel "fixed" before.

Default Know an approximate price for a pretty minor bend I think?

Custom Wheel repair quoted me at $75 (to straighten)+ $15 to unmount/rebalance tire.

Default Just dropped it off w/ Mike at Custom Wheel...

he was pretty nice (eventhough I called him Chris at first)... said maybe it was the seal between the 2 pieces... he will take apart the wheel, bend the lip back, and then re-seal it. Hopefully that works, quoted me $120 for everything.

He mentioned my wheel had an anodized finished and can't be polished?

Default The main wheel guy at Foster's has moved to another company

He's now working on the eastside. If you guys want info, I can grab it off my voicemail at home. Otherwise, custom wheel repair seems like the better deal..better prices, and people seem to be as happy with their work as fosters.

Default Turns out it was a CRACK... was only able to weld one side...

but atleast the wheel is straightened and isn't leaking anymore.

Anyone know if only having one side versus both sides welded will make a big difference? Will it be pretty fragile, or should it be ok?
