Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could help me. I just had my Coolant Temp Sensor replaced twice in my 96 Audi A4; however, now my display in the center counsel (that tells me what the temperature of the heater is at) is not working. The shop that installed the temperature sensor said there is two types of sensors- a blue or black one... Can someone please tell me if changing the Coolant Temp Sensor affects the heater display?

The sensor that is located on the back side of the block is the sensor that sends the coolant temperature to the ecu. I believe there is also another sensor that is located near the coolant tank that send the signal to the guage in the car. Which sensor did you have replaced?

Is the display blank or faded? Did you have the sensor replaced for this reason only? I've seen the LED go bad on the display and require a new climate control unit.

The display is completely black- I had the sensor replaced because my check engine light keep coming on... just strange how everything falls apart at one time. I think I will have to take a closer look at it this weekend.
Thanks,
