They claim only came as closes as 8 kms to town center, whole town is about 2.5km in diameter.
So roughly 6 kms from town.

33 yrs ago this week I tried to get to Dawson and.......
got turned back to Prince George due to a huge fire in your area (before there was a Tumbler).
I was a 22 yr old long hair in a new 73 Capri and they gave me the option of fighting the fire or going back south. South I said all the way to Quesnel. Audi content? Back then I hated my father's 72 100LS.
