I'm registering my car this next week-- do I need to smog the car? I live in Redmond, and if I need to smog the car, do they check by sniffer or just by OBD port?
Can any of you guys personally recommend a smog shop that will be lenient on visual inspections and stuff? It would be such a hassle since I don't have my stock airbox any longer, and oh yeah, I have a full cat-less custom exhaust (but no CEL thanks to an angle blocker). Thanks!

All 1996 and newer vehicles are tested via the OBD-II port. There must not be any DTCs and it must pass the readiness check, as HeartlessNomad12 states. All emissions stations are owned by WA Department of Ecology and operated by a contractor; no smog shops like in CA.
