Looking fro INDY shop Seattle/Eastside for Timing Belt
Looking for a good Indy shop for a timing belt 2002 A6. I am at 69,000 miles I have seen that it is supposed to be changed at 105,000 miles and at 75,000 miles from other sources I have no idea which one is accurate. Anyone know of any good shops or if I should even consider it right now.
thanks

I think I did mine at around 75k at the recommendation of a shop.
This was a shop that when my 02 sensors needed replacing, they wanted $800 to do 2 (I'm not kidding) and said I should get them done ASAP so I don't blow my turbos. I never went there again.
It's up to you. My opinion is that 69k is too early for this kind of job. I'd wait until at least 75k. When you're getting it done, it also makes sense to have them do all the gaskets down there, too. This previous shop I mentioned got everything buttoned up, and after I paid them their $1500, they told me I needed my gaskets done, too. They could have easily done them while they had everything apart for the timing belt.
Again, I'll never even consider that place, and if anyone asked me about them, I would not hesitate to unload my opinion.
That said, I'd give these guys a call:

I just dropped my S4 off there for some suspension work and various new gaskets.
Danny knows his stuff, and you will not pay out the nose.

I can not reccomend Speedware in Redmond enough to anyone. The labor rate is is under $100 an hour, Kelly the manager is super honest and fair, and I have always walked out feeling like I got great service and great value for the dollar.
Best shop in Seattle Metro IMO.
Cheers!
