Default My 2000 S4 engine keeps shutting off and no codes are thrown..help!!!

Can I pay someone to do a full diagnosis on my ride at my house. I talked to Cable and he seems very very busy. If Anyone could help me out I'd hook it up. This may all be a failing ECU or chip issue. But the car is not too drivable

Check the instrument cluster and the ABS control unit for no communication faults from the ECU. It sounds like your either dropping the ECU relay, or as you suspected your chip is going bad. If you decide to get the car towed somewhere to repair please call us, we'd be happy to sort it out for you, quickly and affordably.

Is your chip soldered or was it flashed?

Default Guessing soldered because its old Giac x, but the car only has problems after its been sitting

warm and then started up again. I tried to check for codes when the CEL came on. NOTHING!!! And when the car did shut down it and I would immediatly run for codes......the code reader would have an error and could not communicate with the car. 2 mins later the car will start and drive for a few mins and die again. I am over boosting right now as well.

Default Try and get some MAF readings and post them here.

You may have a FAT boost leak somewhere. Also try and get some 02 readings as well.

I'm still thinking it is the coolant temp sesnor.
