Default In my quest to find the best St. Helens viewpoint the last couple of days, I found a great drive....

While playing golf out at Wildwood this summer I noticed some crazy houses way at the top of the hills surrounding the course. I assumed they were all on Skyline Blvd. so I drove out 30 to Cornelious Pass and up to Skyline to see if there was a good viewpoint of St. Helens. Sure enough a few miles up Skyline there was a perfect spot to check out the most innactive volcano in history...at least the 4 hours I spent there the last 2 days...I was hoping to get a glimpse of some magma shooting miles into the air...alas all I saw was a big mound that was a little grayer today than it was yesterday. What I didn't plan on finding was a great drive with nobody around. If you ever want to get a good drive in I suggest heading out hwy. 30 to Rocky Point Rd. Take it up to Skyline for an awesome road with a bunch of tight turns...I recommend going up Rocky Point cause many of the turns are very tight...makes it a lot more fun than flying into a tight downhill turn. Enjoy...

Default Yup - very nice road. We have used it for a group drive before too after lunch at the Helvatia

Tavern. Our romp on Skyline drive heading towards Rocky Point road got a little too spirited and one of our members made a chocolate mess out of his very nice vintage Audi coup.

Default Yep it is a great road to drive on...I was at the drive that Alan mentioned...

Thankfully no-one was hurt, only the beautiful Red Coupe...

Default Yes, lots of fun roads in that area....

Logie Trail from Hwy 30 to Skyline is fun with very tight (~10 MPH) corners.
Logie Trail from Skyline to Helvetia is fun with tight corners and a few open straights.
Old Cornelius Pass to Rock Creek Rd to Skyline is a good one.
The entire length of Skyline is good (but riddled with bicycles on weekends).
Helvetia to Jackson School looks good, but I haven't explored much in that section.

*sigh* Too many roads, not enough time. I think its time for another drive.

Default Yeah, "bicycles"...

We love all of these roads. If it's sunny I'm out on this:
