Default New Member and new to Seattle

Hello!

This is my first post here. I'm a Canadian that just moved to Seattle from New Zealand. New country, new city, new life, and somewhat new car..
I ordered a used 01 Aviator Gray Audi TT from California which should arrive by next friday. I was hoping someone could list some places in the Bellevue, or the east area for tuning up my Audi.

I'm looking for recommendations for
-an Audi specialist for oil changes
-body shops (so far Eurotech Bodywerks seems reputable)
-tires
-anything else you think I should know about Seattle

-also I'm having a difficult time finding an ABT front spoiler/skirt in the US in general. Would there be a body kit retailer that would still have em? AMS just sold thier last one..

I've searched thru older posts and got some contacts but I just wanted a fresh update/opinion from those that know Seattle well.

Anyways, great to be here and thanks in advance!

Default Welcome! DrVolkl joined yesterday and folks answered similar questions so check that out.

Cliff Notes version: Redmond Werkshop and Barrier Audi are Eastside shops for repairs/maintenance and both are good.

Achtuning and Futrell are both tuning shops on the Eastside. I think Startup Racing is on the Eastside as well. Matrix down in Portland is also highly regarded. Achtuning is a good source for tires/wheels.

There's a GTG at Snoqualie Falls Brewery Saturday afternoon and WaterWagens down at Pacific Raceways in Kent on Sunday, so that would be a good opportunity for you to meet some of the local folks.

Anything else you should know about Seattle? Watch out for smurfs!!!

Default I went to Eurotech. They were very friendly. The fit and finish was awsome, as was the paint

However, there is a rattle now in the trunk lid that wasn't there before. Also, they never put the audi rings back on the car. Oh well.

Default Yeah, I did

Can't make it to the BBQ, but I'll try and make the next one for sure.
I'm still crossing my fingers that everything goes smooth on this purchase...I won't rest easy until the car is safely parked in my garage.
btw- I live in Bellevue, so I can help you out with finding your way around.

Default Welcome!

Frequent this board often, there are numerous posts about seattle/portland and numerous posts that sometimes you wish you had your click back. All in all, this forum is a good place to come read to kill time.

Barrier Audi in bellevue, I have no complaints with.

There is a lot to know about Seattle. Where you livng at? "Seattle" Proper or one of the suburbs?

Default Just answers.

I'm looking for recommendations for
-an Audi specialist for oil changes

If you have time buy the oil and filter on line or at Costco, and find a shop that will do the job for $10.

-body shops (so far Eurotech Bodywerks seems reputable)

Many like Queen City Auto Rebuild

-tires

and wheels at Achtuning

-anything else you think I should know about Seattle

Laser is used by at least 50% of state troopers - get a jammer

-also I'm having a difficult time finding an ABT front spoiler/skirt in the US in general. Would there be a body kit retailer that would still have em? AMS just sold thier last one..

No clue

And... welcome!
