Apple's taken down Sony's "Play" service in Japan which is a huge win in the market, it'll be interesting to see how long this portable music craze will last though.

Default Good point re: portable music craze

it'll be interesting to see how long this portable music craze will last though.

I'm like the only person I know who doesn't have an ipod.

I have about 175 gigs of music files on my server but I never bought an ipod because I just don't ever find myself needing headphones. Maybe a few times a year, and my laptop has a headphone jack and is more flexible. Of course I also regularly listen to vinyl records so I guess I am pretty much of a luddite when it's all said and done

It's kind of freaky thinking about the millions of people sitting around in silent houses listening to music on headphones.

Default I use my ipod around 98% of the time in my car

The only other time I use it (outside my car) is when I'm on an airplane with Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones... I just upgraded my 40 gig to a 60 gig this past weekend. I also have around 160 gigs of music.
jsamans - if you have that much music,,, I assume you have a lot of Live Sets? What type of music do you listen to?
