My wife brought this article to my attention just today:
<a href="http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1622593,00.html">Link...Time.com article about changing demongraphics around Dallas.</a>
I had a suspicion about Cowboy fans when I heard about this marketing statistic awhile ago:
<a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/pacificnw/msgs/80668.phtml">Link...Apparent spike in widescreen TV sales.</a>
I guess Dallas Cowboy fans from across the country are relocating to be closer to their heros!

probably fewer Cowboys fans in Dallas today than there were in the 90s... hence proving the opposite of your point!
