Default Your regular garden variety 1,5 to 2 story suburbia, vinyl windows and wood siding...I just need....

a ballpark. Can it be done for $2000 or is it more in the $4k area. Sort of like timing belt--if done for $500 it is largely DIY, $1000 gets you a good independent mechanic, $1200 and up-dealer.

Default How many square feet? (Roughly) Depends on how much scraping too.

I'm in Vancouver..painting seems to cost more up here.
I'm doing a small (1800 square foot) older home right now, when it's all done it'll cost close to $10,000. Paint cost alone will be over $1500 (Top quality products)

It all depends on what your after...if it's just painting siding with not much scraping/priming needed and you don't mind a bit of paint where it doesn't belong you can probly get it done for $2000ish with cheaper or average quality paint. Like anything if you want top quality expect to pay more....that being said paying more doesn't always mean you'll get a better job.

Good luck...I'd ask for references and look at some of the work they've done before hiring.

If your having it done this late in the year make sure that they use a low temperature paint...even if it's warm during the day it's quite cool at night...that combined with the humidity and morning dew it isn't the ideal time to have it done.

Default Just had my house painted a month ago...

I got 4-5 quotes... they ranged from $2500-$4500. This is for 1660 sq ft house, 2 stories, lap siding on 2 sides and T-111 on two sides.

BTW, this is in the Portland area.

Here's some pics...<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/pacificnw/msgs/131708.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/pacificnw/msgs/131708.phtml</a</li></ul>
