Makes me think twice about the direction of our builds these days.
Even a half cage and harnesses would not be a bad idea in a "aggressively" driven street car.

I'll agree with the safety assessment. My Audi-banned buddy John totalled his beautiful 357ti last year after hitting a patch of oil coming through T7 doing 100+ at PR. Got sideways and rolled (tumbled really), but the full cage and harnesses prevented any injuries for him or his passenger (besides soreness from being compressed in the harnesses as the car up ended multiple times). Since there was no frontal impact, the HANS device did not factor. Lucky, because the passenger did not have one.
All that safety gear is not cheap, but worth it. Good luck with the karts. Maybe I'll get out there to see you race one of these days. Gotta get my DSLR first!
