Default PSA: Every so often, check to make sure that your plates are your plates.

Got a letter on my car this morning from the Bellevue Police - someone had stolen the plates off my S4 and swapped them onto a stolen Audi, putting plates from a Civic on mine.

The end result is that I have no plates on the car, can't drive it, and need to go to the DOL to get new plates again. :/

So check your car now and then - make sure you aren't driving around on the wrong stuff!

Custom plates may draw some unwaned . . . attention. Good idea, though.

Default Sounds like OWK was on to something when he glued his plates onto his car

My brother had this happen to him many years ago as well. It's an easy quick way to get "good" plates on a stolen car.

At least they didn't steal the whole car. Or my pride . . .

Default He didn't glue them on, just the STEELERS plate surround to the plate. I couldn't swap the Seahawks

plate surround on there on the last Wednesbeerday OWK attended. I took off the plate and reluctantly had to put it back on without the swap. Anyone want a free Seahawks plate surround?
