Default since they are my main shop, I brought this post to their attention and am waiting for a response...

Never had anything but positive things to say about them and never heard anything but positive things from the rest of their customers.

Default Not quite...

The deal on the preowned Rennworx from here didn't pan out, so I had to go with plan b. They aren't Rennworx or HRE, but they are forged. I'll post pics on Friday once I get them on.

Default I called just last Thursday.

How many times do you believe I should call before I get a call back.

Do you think Futrell is lying when they said that the shocks installed were 'used' and installed incorrectly?

What would you do in my situation?

Default was I coming across aggressive? not the way I intended it to be

probably the difficulties of talking over a forum, expression and tone of voice is totally lost.

I know he's helping me out, I was just asking what he recommends I do.

Didn't mean to come off the wrong way.

Default Who was your mechanic? Can you get a work order from Futrell stating their findings?

Do I think Futrell is lying? No. Do I think that Group2 would knowingly install used shocks without being requested to do so? No. Are they incredibly well known and respected for their suspension work all around town? Yes. Can all mechanics make mistakes? Of course.

Bottom line is yes, I, too, would be frustrated if I'd called as much as you had to follow up with no return call. Why not stop by in person?

I'm telling you that the lead mechanic had no idea about your situation when I brought it to his attention.

Default Chris did the work.

The first time I went back was the day before an Alfa race, and they were busy. He told me to come back another day. He was extremely rude, but I could tell that he was stressed about the work load before him, so I didn't take offense. He told me to call on Monday, which I did. I was told to leave my name and number and somebody would get back to me. Since then I have only called once during their normal business hours, and got the same response. All the other phone calls I've made were after business hours, though I did leave a detailed message every time.

I've been a part of the Alfa group for some time, and am familiar with Group 2's reputation for good work among the club. That's the initial reason why I went there.

Since having the work done I've sold the car to my God son, and told him of the extensive suspension work done to the car a little over a month before hand. Since then, the suspension has gotten to the point where he can't drive the car safely and has had to resort to borrowing his father's car (which I get to hear about).

The kid lives outside of Issaquah, and that's only reason why the car hasn't returned to the shop. We've been waiting on an appointment to get it in. He has since taken the car to Futrell to have a new turbo put on, among many other upgrades. The guys at Futrell are very familiar with the car, and will attest to the issues being with the install done at Group 2.

I can handle this situation on my own, I just thought I'd share my frustrations as I would praise if I had any. I didn't mean to turn this into a bigger deal than it is, and by no means was I coming down on you a couple posts above.

Default never thought you were coming down on me and sorry if I've taken this out of your hands...

The above information will help Chris place the situation into context. I will forward it on to him and then step aside.

Good luck to you.
