I got my first ticket in a long time (7+ years). The cop paced me at 85 after he merged onto I-90. Whatever.
How can I go on 'probation'? I don't see it listed as an option on the back of the ticket. Did they recently get rid of this option?
Thanks,
Adam

check the mitigate option, when you get to the courthouse ask for the differed disposition option. The judge will explain it to you.
Or just hire Mitch Greene to represent you. (He's the man)

Fairly simple case....
I was accelerating to get in front of some slow moving trucks that had just merged onto the freeway at the I-90/I-405 interchange. I needed to get into the exit lane.
Plus, the cop 'paced' me (no radar or laser)

I got a ticket a year and a half ago. First speeding ticket in 9 years. I called the King County court house and asked about a deferral. You get 1 deferral every 7 years. The guy told me to mail in a check for $100 with a request for deferral and that's all I needed. I sent the letter requesting deferral, a check for $100, and a copy of the ticket. I never heard anything else about it.
He told me if I got another ticket within a year I would have to pay the rest of the first ticket plus the new ticket and they would both go on my record. Since I didn't get a ticket within a year (as of Sept 07), the ticket never went on my record and I didn't have to pay the full $220 ticket.
I was nailed going 86 in a 60 on I90 FYI.
I hope this helps. It was worth the $120 savings and the clean record for me.
