I took a car to Car Toys in Bellevue about 3 years ago for a basic deck swap. They managed to grind the exterior of the dash and the surronding trim in 3 different places. The killer is that instead of telling me what had happened and getting it repaired by a professional. The install guy decided to sand down the grind marks on the dash trim and repaint them (The color did not match). He also tryed to do a repair on the dash with some bondo, my 9yo niece could have done a better job with her play-doh. When I went to pick up my car the sales rep who usually will walk out with you to make sure you like everything decided that he would show me how to use the display model, Weird Huh? So I get in my car and notice all this shotty parking lot bondo/paint repair on my dash and instantly go inside to bring this to there attention and the look on everybodies face told me that they knew about it but the sales rep played dumb really well. So anyways it took me over 3 weeks and finally getting a hold of the VP to get this resolved. And let me tell you about the time a few months ago that the seattle car toys messed up my sisters brand new escalade. I don't know about you but I would go anywhere but Car Toys.

I had an old spare amp and speaker box laying around and spent maybe $10 on some wiring, did it myself, and it sounded pretty good. I took the amp and sub out as well as the two rear speakers(buzzing) for a track day, so my car has anti-bass now. Granted, my DIY sub install was not pretty...so you do get what you pay for.

If I have to travel to find a good shop/installer than that's not a problem. It seems like everyone has been helpful in giving their recommendations.

No, I don't think I will use them. I had the ZR3 sensors mounted in the stock center lower grill, one on each side of the license plate, they fit in there perfect. So if you know anyone that wants to buy some large mesh lower grill inserts let me know.

I would go to Innovative Audio for just about everything. They tackled an aftermarket H/U and factory Bose combination in my A6 that no one else was willing to touch. I think they spent about 7 or 8 hours beyond what they billed me for tweaking it to try and get it right. The total cost was still a bit of a shocker.
For something as special as a Porsche it may be worth giving them a call/stopping by for an estimate. An extra 10-15% for a really good job may be worth it.
