Default Test Pipe Pros & Cons?

I'm thinking about installing a test pipe but before I pull the trigger I thought I would throw it out to the group for their opinion. I would like to hear from anyone who actually has/had one in their car or riden in one. Good or bad?

My Borla includes the down pipe. Isn't the test pipe a replacement for the cat?

Default For a TT a test pipe in place of the stock cat should do wonders...

but for my 3" DP, I tried a test pipe in place of my 400 cell racing cat... and there was ZERO difference as verified by the dyno...

you have a TT? if so, a Borla exhaust is cat-back, not turbo-back

Default Test pipes are illegal on the street and only legal for track use.

Forums are open for all eyes to see.

Obviously there are benefits with a larger piping and less backpressure on a turbo charged car. But there are also drawbacks (failed O2s, CELs, fried EGTs). For track power mongers it is the only way to go though.
