So the wifey comes home the other night and tells me that there are a couple scratches in the Rabbit. Finally yesterday I got a chance to go out and see them.
Some douchebag clearly hit her in the parking lot of the client office where she is working, when they were backing out and turning to drive away. It didn't just scratch the paint but went all the way through and left a couple nice deep gouges into the underlying bumper plastic. They had to have noticed cause it would have moved the entire car... but of course left no note (other than the white paint) and just took off. Paint won't fix it... need a new bumper.
The car has all of 5200 miles on it.... 7 months old only. Merry freaking Christmas.
Always funny to me that the closer we get to the holiday of joy and whatever, the more people act like jerks. Meh.

What IS it with people around here? Seems that lately (last couple years) all I ever see is angry people, especially around Holiday time at the Mall and Costco, etc. I mean, not just bad hair day, but "I will run you down with my car if you even think about crossing the parking lot" angry.
Someone actually pushed my three-year-old down the other night at the food court because he was walking too slow for him and he tried to squeeze past. Did he say sorry? No, he just made an annoying grunt and kept going. If he had actually hurt my son I would have decked him.
Lighten up, white people!

parked on the street in capitol hill while out at dinner. I didn't notice it for a couple weeks when I washed my car. Nice little dent by the passenger headlight and the headlight casing is a little out of line too. Second time now that I've been hit while parked in capitol hill. Not to mention the bumper dings.
Haven't gotten around to calling insurance to claim it under comprehensive.
