Default US screwed again with US Spec RS4!

The new RS4 for the US will not have anything but the RS4 engine in the S4 body with some badging. No cool seats, steering wheel or starter button. The Euro one will get all of that of course. And the US spec RS4 is suppose to be around 70k (MAJOR RIPOFF) Check linky.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4b7/msgs/1140.phtml

Default no offense, but you're totally off base.

"rs4 engine in an S4 body," is pretty much the most clueless thing you could have said. It'll be a widebody RS4 body! It'll also have the amazing suspension, not to mention all the adjustable sport/touring driving mode changes to the throttle. So, it's lacking some seats, that is dissapointing BUT if you're buying a car for some seats and a steering wheel then you might want to rethink your purchase. Euro RS4 seats cost about 4-5k, and you can sell your stock seats to some A4 owner for probably a comparable amount of money, so what's the big deal? Oh and the starter button complaint, big woop, it's a button!

Now, I'm as dissapointed as anyone that the average American is to blame for cars being dumbed down for the US market, but I don't think this car will dissapoint.

edit: with your same reasoning the S4 is nothing but an A4 with an S4 engine, and the B5 RS4 is nothing but an S4 with an RS4 engine, etc.

Default If you bothered to read the whole post.

You would know that the US spec RS4 wont get the throttle change button either. Silly. And yes i know that it will have wider fenders. I think we should get the same version over here in the US. They have the engineering skills to accomplish this. The car looks so much better with all the interior appointments.

Default All these small tweaks add to the enjoyment of the car.

The interior on the Eurospec RS4 just looks so much better than the standard b6 S4 interior. If I am going to pay 70k plus (prices not finalized could be higher) then i want all the interior appointments! I expect more from Audi and the money i spend on a car. I was very impressed with the interior of my B5 S4 when I bought it in 2002. It had one of the best looking interiors out there at the time.
