Default Want a Photo Shoot? Portland, Oregon.

I'm on a bunch of the other boards (used to be on here too, but can't remember my login info) offering the same thing, but figured there might be a few people that haven't been bothered by me :-)

Anyway, I'm a photographer here in Portland, Oregon looking for vehicles to shoot. Preferably highly modified, nice looking vehicles. If you have a car that I'd really like to shoot I'll do it for free. If you want your car shot, but it is not something I will use for my portfolio, I will charge you $200 (hell of a deal really). You get 10 professionally edited images and a disk of all the images from the shoot.

Here are a few examples of my work.

Default Too cheap.

Seriously, that's way too cheap. Your time + equipment + skills all combined are only worth $20/hour?

Do good work, charge a fair rate. What you've mentioned is WAY too low, and will take bread out of the pockets of others who try to pay their bills by doing photography.

my $0.02

Default No argument with putting bread in your pocket.

But charge what you're worth. If there aren't many people in the area doing it, it means you can charge *more*!

Your pics look good. $100 is too cheap. Charge $250 at least. If someone is willing to spend $250 to get their car detailed, they'd certainly willing to spend that to get it professionally photographed.

Default Ironic as I was thinking that $200 for 10 shots of my car is nowhere near worth it

Times are tough... I cut my rates on side work to keep business levels up. If a discount nets him business, he gets to keep eating. Nothing wrong with that.
