Default what in the FLYING FVCK was going on with I-5 north last night from fed way to 405 exit?

I was on my home from down south visiting family and got stuck for nearly an hour and a half on that stretch of highway. They had 3 left lanes closed for literally 10 miles. I have never seen so many pissed off people on a sunday night...absolutely ridiculous road construction project.

Default Yea, I've been avoiding that stretch of road for quite awhile now. Been taking I-167.

I think it has to do with the light rail project.

Default Did it look like this?????.........

I 5: Military Road to I-405, Profiled MMA, #7172
Mileposts: 144.75 - 154.27
Julia Mizuhata, Project Engineer, 206.764.4105
Crews are placing new lane stripes and markings on nearly 10 miles of I-5 between Federal Way and Tukwila. The new lane markings are more durable and longer lasting than the existing markings and will increase safety by improving visibility for drivers, especially at night and in rainy conditions. This work is dependent on dry weather.

Thursday, August 17 - Three lanes will be closed on northbound I-5 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. from S 288th Street to SR 516.

Default Traffic blows on Sunday afternoon north I5.

I was stuck in traffic yesterday as well. It pretty much sucks every Sunday afternoon now from Olympia through Tacoma. I'm hoping it will clear up once summer is over and the construction stops.

I've decided I will either leave Sat night or Sun morning from now on to avoid the mess.

Interstate 167?? Or do you mean State Route (SR) 167, aka Valley Freeway?

Default You're right....its a SR not an I. During non-rush hour times and weekends its busy but still runs

at 50+mph. During weekday rush hour times, no road is as good as the next.
